Software Engineer

  • Designed and implemented part of an ASP web application, using server-side object-oriented JScript, that generates XML messages to track fuel usage for a large governmental organization.
  • Developed part of an ASP.NET message processing application in Visual Basic .NET to dynamically validate and import XML messsages, which allows an operator to edit messages that failed validation and resubmit.  This application receives the XML fuel messages sent by the message generation tool mentioned above.
  • Responsible for maintaining an object-oriented server-side JavaScript object library (similar to a class framework), which is the root of two existing ASP web applications and several more planned future applications.
  • Entrusted with Secret security clearance.

  • Revised IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system that collected data from 4,000 field representatives over 40 telephone lines to be more flexible and scaleable.
  • Rewrote and extended Delphi application comprising eighteen management reports.
  • Created a Delphi application to audit mileages reported by field representatives for accuracy.

  • Developed using Visual C++ and ATL a multithreaded mission-critical thin-client COM application communicating with an ISAPI extension to handle credit card processing.
  • Created a custom ISAPI extension DLL using Visual C++ to communicate with the above COM application.
  • Wrote intranet and internet database-backed web applications for configuration of public internet access kiosks in the field.
  • Implemented public internet kiosk user interface in HTML and JavaScript to connect to complex underlying COM objects.
  • Automated complex local and remote installations of kiosk software to greatly simplify field installation and QA testing.
